This is a fake threat. Never call, I repeat, NEVER CALL, the number on websites like this. Even your antivirus company of choice does not care if you have a virus, meaning they won't tell you to call them. Microsoft doesn't care and neither does Facebook or Instagram, they are not even antivirus related.

This is what we call scareware, it tricks you into thinking something is wrong. You can tell this is a fake site from the numerical web address. The additional popup screen. Again Windows Technical Support does not care you have a virus. They will never tell you to call.

If you see this exit out using the top right X or better yet do ALT+CTRL+DEL select task manager, then select browser processes such as Firefox, internet explorer, chrome etc and end task. Do not click on links provided & DO NOT LET SOMEONE REMOTE INTO YOUR COMPUTER unless you can drive to them and know they are a trusted source. The real scan begins after you call the number provided and they inform you that you have many viruses. Then want to charge you $300 to fix the issue. Don’t call & don’t fall for this.

REPEAT AFTER ME:
I WILL NOT CALL NUMBERS LIKE THIS
I WILL NOT LET SOMEONE REMOTE INTO MY COMPUTER
WHEN IN DOYBT I WILL CALL A TRUSTED COMPUTER RESOURCE

I WILL NOT LET SOMEONE REMOTE INTO MY COMPUTER
I WILL NOT LET SOMEONE REMOTE INTO MY COMPUTER
I WILL NOT LET SOMEONE REMOTE INTO MY COMPUTER
